Relationship Between Job Satisfaction and Stress The Employee of Health Personnel in Public Hospitals

Objectives: The aim of this research is to study related stress and job satisfaction of health service personel in public hospitals, and to explore in terms of demographic characteristics. Method: This study has been executed over 412 person. The sample people group which consists of specialist doctors, practitioner doctors, nurses/midwifes, technicians and other medical health personnels who are chosen by random sampling and who are working at there different public hospitals at one city. For data collecting, Socio-demographic information form, Job Satisfaction Scale, Stress Symptoms Scale and Tendency to Stress Scale has been used and for data analyzing one and two directional varians analysis (ANOVA), Post Hoc-Tukey test, t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, Pearson and Spearman tests, and multi regression analysis has been applied. Results: According to the correlation analysis, there is a strong negative association between stress and job satisfaction. According to t-test and varians analysis; women stuff are more stressful than men stuff, men stuff are very satisfied in their jobs, the age and the period of working in the departmant is correlated with job satisfaction, the nurses are more stressful than others, it is emphasized that the stuff of Emergency, Cardiology, Otorhinolaryngology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedy and Operating room are more stressful than the others. According to regression analysis, first three predictor of job satisfaction are administrative policy, salary/career and control/autonomy in order. Conclusion: Stres and job satisfaction must be assessed together in health professions. The findings are consistent with the literatüre.

Kamu Hastanelerinde Çalışan Sağlık Personelindelş Doyumu ve Stres İlişkisi

Amaç: Kamu hastanelerinde görev yapmakta olan sağlık personelinin stresini ve iş doyumunu demografik özellikler açısından irdelemek ve stres-iş doyumu ilişkisini incelemektir. Yöntem: Çalışma, bir ilde bulunan farklı üç kamu hastanesinde görevli ve tesadüfi örnekleme yoluyla seçilmiş uzman hekim, pratisyen hekim, hemşire/ebe, teknisyen ve diğer sağlık personelinden oluşan 412 kişilik bir örneklem grubu üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Veri toplamak amacıyla Sosyo-Demografik bilgi formu, İş Doyumu Ölçeği, Stres Belirtileri Ölçeği ve Strese Yatkınlık Ölçeği kullanılmış olup verilerin analizinde tek ve çift yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), Post Hoc-Tukey testi, t-testi, Mann-Whitney U testi, Pearson ve Spearman testleri, çoklu regresyon analizi uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Yapılan korelasyon analizi sonucunda, stres ve iş doyumu arasında negatif yönde güçlü bir ilişki bulgulanmıştır. T-testi ve varyans analizleri sonucunda; kadın personelin erkek personele göre daha stresli olduğu, erkek personelin ise işinden daha çok doyum aldığı, yaşın ve bulunulan kurumdaki hizmet süresinin artmasıyla iş doyumunun da arttığı, hemşirelerin diğer mesleklere göre en stresli grubu oluşturduğu, Acil, Kardiyoloji, KBB, Beyin Cerrahi, Ortopedi ve Ameliyathane'nin diğer birimlerden daha stresli çalışılan birimler olduğu bulgulanmıştır. Regresyon analizi sonucunda; iş doyumunu yordayan ilk üç değişkenin sırasıyla, idari politikalar, ücret/kariyer ve kontrol/otonomi olduğu görülmüştür. Sonuç: Sağlık personelinde, stres ve iş doyumunun birlikte değerlendirilmesi gereken faktörler olduğu görülmüştür. Bulgular literatür ile tutarlılık göstermektedir.
