Information for Reviewers
Turkish Journal of Clinical Psychiatry includes researches, reviews, brief reports, and letter to the editor reports in the fields of Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology, Psychopharmacology and psychiatry issues of neurology. The editorial and publication processes of our journal have been formatted according to the guidelines of organizations International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE) and National Information Standards Organization (NISO).
The editorial and publication processes of the journal are conducted in accordance with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (doaj.org/bestpractice).
Turkish Journal of Clinical Psychiatry is based on independent, unbiased, double-blinded peer-review reports in the evaluation of the articles. The submitted articles, their originality, methodologies, and the importance of the topic discussed are evaluated by members of the Editorial Board. This is followed by an unbiased double-blind peer-review by two or more independent experts in the field. For all submissions, the Editorial Board is the final authority in the decision-making process.
Reviewers should evaluate all articles in terms of authenticity, validity, importance and ethics. Turkish Journal of Clinical Psychiatry uses Journal Agent article evaluation system. The reviewer can enter the system by entering the user name and password through the link address sent to the e-mail address. You can also log in to the system by clicking on the "Submit an online article" tab on our website. The reviewers identity is kept confidential throughout the entire evaluation process.
When reviewers receive an invitation through our article evaluation system; It is expected that he will decide quickly and decide whether to accept the evaluation. If you think that the article is not reletad to your field of expertise, you should reject it. Reviewers accepting the evaluation must submit the evaluation result within 15 days at most. In case of delay, reminders are made with warning e-mails. When you are evaluating, you can use the article scanning engines on our Journal Agent system to find additional resources on the article.
Reviewers must fill in the evaluation form in the system after evaluating the article in accordance with the above criteria. They can also convey their views on the article to authors and editors separately. Reviewers are informed about the process of the article through the system.
Reviewers are expected to comment on ethical violations such as gift writing, duplicate publication, and plagiarism. IThenticate software can be used to check the similarity of the articles. If the reviewers are involved in a possible conflict of interest, the editor must provide information before accepting the evaluation.
It is advisable to read the "About Us" and "Information for Authors " sections of the journal before evaluating the reviewers.
Before completing the evaluation of the reviewers; it is expected to make final checks on conflicts of interest, publication misconduct, suitability to the journal's standards, title and abstract quality, scientific structure, novelty and significance of information, suitability of terminology, adequacy of the references, sufficiency of the figures and tables, English and Turkish summary suitability and priority of publication.
Turkish Journal of Clinical Psychiatry publishes the reviewer list every year in the last issue along with its special thanks to reviewers.
